1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
2 tsps baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsps cream of tartar
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Mix the shortening, sugar, and eggs until creamy. Mix the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt in another bowl. Blend the wet with the dry ingredients using a wooden spoon until blended. Roll the dough into the size of a small walnut.
Prepare the sugar and cinnamon mixture. 1/4 cup white sugar and 2 tsps ground cinnamon. Roll into the mixture until coated.
Bake 6-10 minutes.
